Endurance Riders enjoy the fine weather at Kirkhill SERC Grampian held their first ride of 2008 at Kirkhill Forest on Sunday. 41 riders and horses enjoyed ideal riding weather which was reflected in excellent results. Two distances were on offer – 17 Kms, and 27 Kms for those whose horses were fitter this early in the year. The new venue at the Scottish Agriculture College at Craibstone was a great success. Particular congratulations go to Yvonne Munro whose horse Blade won Best Condition. It was great to see so many new people trying our sport and many have already said they are coming to our next ride at Durris on the 16th March. Average speeds were 27Tr=11.62, 17Tr=11.01, 17Pl=9.43, so the new venue and amended route have been a great success.
