KATIE KEITH - BRANCH SECRETARY
I’m a 24 year old PhD student/ teaching assistant at Aberdeen University and
most of the rest of the time I spend with Charley Girl, my very beautiful 21
year old Arab-cross-something who I’ve owned for nearly 14 years.
We only started doing endurance in 2000, and are both very enthusiastic about
it. Together we do pleasure rides, some 20’s and a bit of hill riding. Charley
is a very special lady and despite her years is very fit and fizzy! Last year we
rode in the winning Grampian team at the Capercaillie challenge, and also won
the Branch Pleasure Ride trophy. Charley has her 100 mile rosette and is only a
few miles off her 250 as I write this.
I enjoy the sport for the challenge and the wonderful scenery you can see from
horseback. Endurance is a wonderful sport that is very accessible for all kinds
of people, and also a very friendly and supportive group of people.
